The programme is being organised by Shishoi Oshom - Entrepreneurship Task Force (ETF)- Cell Wokha in collaboration with Tea Board India, Regional Office Golaghat, Assam and Indian Institute of Packaging, Kolkata Centre.
Deputy Commissioner & Chairman- Shishoi Oshom- ETF, Cell Wokha Ajit Kumar Ranjan in his welcome remarks expressed gratitude to the packaging institute of Kolkata for coming all the way to Wokha with a purpose to train the local citizens on product packaging. He emphasised collaboration and networking among the participants and the packaging team. Lastly, he highlighted the need for broader and more advanced trainings in the district, not limited only in the field of tea packaging, suggesting potential collaborations in various fields as well.
Bidhan Das, Deputy Director & Branch Head at the Indian Institute of Packaging Kolkata while demonstrating on the theme, emphasised the potential of Wokha district in producing high-quality organic tea and coffee. He highlighted the challenge of sellers lacking marketing ideas despite the premium value of organic products. Das stressed the importance of effective packaging for successful marketing, noting that the outer appearance attracts buyers and proper sealing preserves product quality over time. He expressed gratitude to the Tea Board for funding the training, acknowledging their support.
Anuranjan Singh, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Incharge and Project Manager at Shishoi Oshom-ETF, Cell Wokha, highlighted the importance of skill development and entrepreneurship.
Dr Asitava Sur, Faculty of the Indian Institute of Packaging, Kolkata center, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. Their contributions likely underscored the significance of fostering skills and entrepreneurship in the context of the workshop or event.
The training will culminate on January 30.
