BHS Plans to Launch Online Printing Solutions – Leading a Historic Change in the Corrugated Industry
In June 2016, according to BHS Chairman of the Board Mr. Christian Engel, BHS is expected to launch a revolutionary corrugated board production line with format 2.8m and printing speeds of up to 300m/minute. The first prototype will be released in 2018, further improvements will be made in 2019 based on this prototype, and the final product will be officially launched in 2020. It is expected to replace 80% of the traditional printing press industry market. BHS has named this new product RSR - reel to sheet at real time, will be installed in all BHS produced lines, changing the traditional “roll to roll” and “sheet to sheet” printing mode. The introduction of this new product will usher in a revolution and historical turning point in printing technology. Let us look forward to this new era in the printing industry.
Dinglong — Focus on automation and increasing efficiency
In May 2016, Shanghai Dinglong Machinery Co., Ltd. exhibited three Flexo Folder Gluer Inline machines and participants affirmed Dinglong’s guarantee of speed and accuracy. They witnessed the FFG producing 300 cartons per minute, with quick order changes, the ability to hang on the printing plate without stopping, all while increasing efficiency with lowered manpower. The first production line, VRIDA-TP-FFG fixed type flexo folder gluer, was ordered by Shanghai Yongsheng Packing Co., Ltd. The second machine, VRIDA-TP920-4CKM-FFG, fixed type flexo folder gluer, was ordered by Shandong Longda company. It was equipped with automatic high-speed printing, folding, gluing, counting and stacking capabilities with a Robert palletizing. The second machine demonstrated creating cartons for online shopping. The third machine, INOVA-TP-FFG open & close type vacuum transfer top printing flexo folder gluer, was to be exported to Saudi Arabia.
Eternal Machinery Co., LTD’s Die-cutting Machine – British Company Wants More
England’s Cumberland Packaging Company recently purchased a large-format platen die-cutting machine from Shanghai Eternal Machinery Co., LTD. Prior to this purchase, Cumberland Packaging Company had already purchased two large-format platen die-cutting machines. With a large increase in business volume, the original two die-cutting machines were unable to match the increased demand, and so the company quickly purchased a third machine.
"John Watson, Managing Director of Cumberland had no hesitation in ordering the new Eterna PE1620SA Elite die-cutter which is capable of run speeds of 6,000 sheets per hour," says Mr Stolber. "The Installation was completed in a timely manner and Cumberland are delighted with the increase in performance and capacity that the machine has given them," he concludes.
