….Ardagh produces aerosol for new Elnett Crème de Mousse from l’Oréal Paris
To launch its new hair care product “Elnett Crème de Mousse”, l’Oréal Paris has chosen a 200ml aluminium aerosol can in its familiar “gold” coating, produced by Ardagh at its specialist plant in Beaurepaire, France.
Ardagh has had a very close association with the world famous Elnett brand from its launch in 1960, when, as the first satin formula, it revolutionised the hairspray market. Its legendary “gold “look was introduced in 1963, and the female face made its first appearance on pack as part of the ‘Femme campaign’ in 1964. Both images remain to this day, alongside the very distinctive typography, as one of the world’s most enduring and iconic brand features.
The new product is set to become another milestone in the company’s impact on the hair care market. It extends the l’Oréal Elnett range into a mousse version, combining the benefits of mousse in providing extra volume as well as shine and hold with the softness of cream.
Marc Bettinger, Sales Director Aluminium Packaging from Ardagh explains: “We have been proud and privileged to produce the iconic Elnett aerosol since its launch over 55 years ago. We are very pleased that the beauty of the distinctive gold metal gloss with the associated graphics is being continued on this important new range.”
