A pioneering range of modular labellers will play a starring role at the Beer Attraction fair in Rimini (20-23 February 2016). One technology, an infinity of label types: this, in short, is the competitive advantage provided by this solution, which has been on the market since 2014 and is becoming ever-more popular thanks to excellent flexibility and versatility
Sacmi’s new range of KUBE labellers will play a pivotal role at Beer Attraction 2016. This international event, to be held at the Rimini trade fair centre from 20 to 23 February 2016, is dedicated to all things ‘beer’, from raw materials to manufacturing technology, processing and bottling. Visitors to the Sacmi stand (stand 117, Hall. A7, 32 m2) will have a great opportunity to see a KUBE K10 Ø 480 4T 3 ADH + CE CO, just one of a range of machines designed to maximise flexibility of use on what is a constantly evolving market.
“KUBE: one technology, an infinity of label types” sums up the competitive advantages of the solution perfectly. KUBE allows manufacturers to achieve all their packaging goals using unique, highly versatile technology. This solid, hard-wearing labeller (the load-bearing structure is made entirely of stainless steel) has, in fact, a fully modular configuration with labelling units located outside the carousel, making machine use and maintenance considerably easier. The labeller on show at the fair will be the KUBE K10 Ø 480 4T 3 ADH + CE CO ROTARY LABELLER - labelling machine with 3 adhesive stations
Labeller for application of 3 labels on cylindrical and shaped containers with electronic-cam (stepper motor) pan movement
- Universal screw feeder for variable diameters
- Brushless motor screw feeder transmission
- Automatic bottle height adjustment
- Electronic bottle orientation with photocells
At the design stage a great deal of effort went into reducing maintenance requirements, minimising running times and costs thanks to the implementation of innovative solutions and the use of specific materials. Innovative, ergonomic technology also provides easy access to all main machine parts, thus smoothing and streamlining workflows. Other major innovations are seen in the KUBE labelling stations, designed to be ergonomic and maximise precision and reliability over time.
Equally innovative is the central support beam for adjusting height, depth, application angle and parallelism. Station interchange has been made easier thanks to the use of electromagnets, which ensure precise, secure anchoring of station to carousel.
On both the base and modular version with removable stations the machine combines various labelling solutions, ensuring full interchangeability with every type of application. A single passage through the machine allows containers to be labelled with self-adhesive, cold glue or hot glue technology. To provide additional flexibility the machine has been designed so that the fixed station can be transformed into a modular, removable one at any time but without in any way limiting producers’ packaging capabilities.
Launched on the market in 2014, this Sacmi-designed solution offers an effective response to market needs, especially those of the wine and food sectors as they meet every possible packaging requirement with maximum flexibility, precision and at lower cost. And that’s without taking into account the new product and brand promotion potential offered by KUBE technology, which can transform the label into a strategic communication and marketing tool.
