Since paper absorbs moisture from atmosphere, it goes through expansion and contraction. This also happens with the lamination film, but that is due to heat variation and not due to moisture absorption. Problem is that the rate of this expansioncontraction is different in two substrates, lamination film and paper. Paper is not dimensionally stable while lamination films are relatively more stable. So the solution is, before lamination, both the lamination film and paper should be conditioned at controlled temperature and humidity for approximately 4872 hr. Duration of conditioning depends on prevailing ambient conditions.
