the sustainable packaging guidelines &lsquothe guidelines&rsquo assist covenant signatories and others to review and optimise consumer packaging to make efficient use of resources and reduce environmental impact without compromising product quality and safety. all signatories to the australian packaging covenant must adopt these guidelines. under the covenant, signatories agree to work together to implement and promote the principle of product stewardship for packaging.
