The innovative Slidissime® airless jar from RPC Bramlage supplied to French aromatherapy specialist Yonka has taken the award for Packaging Design – Skincare at the recent Cosmetique Magazine awards.
The jar is being used for Yonka’s new Time Resist anti-ageing cream in both day and night varieties.
Slidissime® offers consumers a new tactile sensation while providing effective airless protection of skincare formulations. The activation of the ‘touch & slide’ pump is similar to a caress. At the same time this action causes the internal pouch to start collapsing, dispensing a tailored dose of up to 0.5ml of cream until the pouch is completely squeezed. This delivers an evacuation rate of over 90%.
In addition, the airless system protects the products from external contaminants such as air and UV rays, enabling manufacturers to reduce the amount of preservatives in their formulae and guarantee the effectiveness of the product for an extended period. The Touch & Slide pump also means fingers do not come into contact with the cream in the jar, while the valve closes after use to ensure air does not enter the pack.
Other benefits include easy top filling in atmospheric conditions, while the Touch & Slide operation removes the need for a seal on the pot.The Slidissime® jar is characteristic of RPC Bramlage’s approach to packaging, harnessing the latest technologies while always staying mindful of the environment.
