Meerbusch, February 10, 2021 - Epson is presenting its solutions for color label printing at BioFach 2021 (February 17-19, 2021). One focus of the manufacturer's presentation is on the printers of the ColorWorks series C3500, C6000 and C7500, the labels of which are all compliant with the EU regulation on materials and objects that come into contact with food 1. In addition, the pigmented inks of these devices are durable, dry quickly and are resistant to light, water and many chemicals. They are therefore also suitable for labeling cosmetic products. With these devices, companies receive flexible inkjet printing solutions for high-quality, flexible in-house production of color labels, tickets and price tags of all kinds in any quantity, so that waste from excess labels is avoided. In addition to the printers, turnkey systems for the automatic application of high-quality labels can also be seen at the Epson booth at BioFach 2021. Thanks to highly developed Epson inkjet technology, companies can print on a variety of different media with Epson ColorWorks printers, starting with inexpensive premium matt paper to high gloss up to BOPP high and satin gloss. Due to the high printing performance of the ColorWorks as well as precise production, there is no need to keep stocks and overproduction, so that costs are reduced.
In addition to the label printers as such, Epson also manufactures the ink and driver software itself. This ensures optimal compatibility of the individual components so that customers always receive a reliable, cost-effective printing solution with Epson ColorWorks. All of the company's production facilities meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and objects that are intended to come into contact with food. They also meet the relevant regulations of the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration). In addition, the inks of the SurePress and ColorWorks printers from Epson are manufactured according to the HACCP principle (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point),
With Epson label printers, companies can flexibly and cost-effectively produce individual shelf and product labels down to one run. The time-consuming disposal of excess labels and the costly storage of preprints are a thing of the past thanks to these modern printing solutions. In addition, Epson ColorWorks printing solutions reduce energy costs and CO 2 emissions thanks to their energy-saving PrecisionCore print head technology. The sustainability of the ColorWorks printing systems is further improved by the low waste generated during operation.
Virtual presentation booth
Due to the Corona-related loss of personal contacts, for example at trade fairs, Epson is now making a hybrid exhibition stand available to all trading partners, integrators, distributors and their own customers, the Epson Industrial Solutions Center + (EISC +). This stand is a combination of a virtual communication platform and a physical exhibition stand. Depending on requirements, different exhibits will be set up on an area of around 500 m². A session at this 'exhibition stand' is booked online by every interested partner from the EMEAR region, specifying the desired application. The Epson presentation for the upcoming BioFach 2021 will be controlled from this stand.
