Constantia Flexibles, the world’s fourth largest flexible packaging group, is aiming to double its sales in India within the next five years. This is the result of its recent acquisition of a majority stake in Creative Polypack and its group companies, as well as expansion plans of its existing subsidiary Parikh Packaging.
BASF manufactures crop protection products for use in farms for agriculture purposes. The winning product addresses a nagging challenge of identifying an un-tampered product and reassuring farmers on their choices. For this purpose a specialised package is developed with a tamper evident Cross Seal mechanism which has been designed to solve this problem. New proprietary bottle shape with a identifiable crowned an integrated measuring cap also separate it from other brands. The design takes care of economy of scale, modularity across the range apart from ease of bottling and labelling.
A plastic water bottle may take hundreds–or even thousands–of years to degrade in a landfill. A new conceptual design for a water bottle is at the opposite extreme: Immediately after you drink it, it starts to fall apart. And if you don’t want to throw the bottle away, you can eat it.
The bottle is made from agar, a powder made from algae. When it’s mixed with water, it turns into a jelly-like material that can be molded into shapes–like a bottle.

RPC M&H Plastics has produced a new flexible tube to package and apply Crown Paints matchpot samples. The new tube features a built-in applicator sponge designed to apply paint evenly to a test area while minimising any potential drips or mess that could be caused by a traditional paintbrush. The Crown Paints matchpots offer a sample capacity of 40ml which is the perfect amount to cover a surface area of 0.5m2 while leaving enough product to apply further coats for dense coverage.
