Proseal has launched its first tray sealer since winning a Queen’s Award for International Trade 2018. The Proseal TTe is a small, compact and robust tray sealer ideal for low-volume production and production trials.

 

The TTe has been developed specifically to assist the progression of safe food packaging and shelf life extension to underdeveloped countries where packaging is overused and underutilised.

Cologne, 22 August 2018 - Leybold Managing Director Johan Van der Eeken and Project Manager Stephan Hohenadl today handed over a donation cheque for 5,930 Euros to Eva Heemann and Cemre Altinsoy for the employee initiative `Water for All ́. Since 1984, Water for All has supported projects that provide people in need with access to clean drinking water, sanitation and hygiene. It is Atlas Copco's most important non-profit initiative and is funded through employee volunteer contributions.

Packaging value chain coalition of 68 industry associations launches joint recommendations ahead of negotiations on the Single-Use Plastics proposal

Brussels, 22 August 2018 – EUROPEN and 67 other European and national associations1 representing a wide range of packaging materials and sectors across the packaging value chain, have announced joint recommendations2 on the Commission’s proposal for a Directive on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment, i.e. the Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUP).
