The pack was designed by three female alevel students at bushey meads school and is for one careplast plasters and is the result of a nationwide competition to design a new product for brand owner global ethics&rsquo &lsquoone&rsquo range.
They are going on sale today 1 june in more than 1,700 cooperative stores and pharmacies nationwide.sales of the plasters, which feature animalprint patterns, will help fund medical kits and bicycle ambulances for remote rural communities in malawi. The packs retail £1.35 and 15p will be donated to global ethics for every pack sold.the trio behind the designs &ndash emmie rayat, taylar leak and deryn hertz &ndash will travel to malawi later this year to see the projects in action. Peter marks, group chief executive of the cooperative group, who helped judge the competition, said &ldquothe students did their homework and showed real enterprise.
They pitched their idea perfectly, from the animal designs on the plasters to the powerful messages on the packaging.&rdquoglobal ethics invests all its profits in charitable projects in africa. Other products in its one range include one water and one eggs.
