The mood on the multivac stand was good the packaging specialist from the allgäu had attracted a lot of the anuga foodtec visitors to its stand with among other things its sandwiches and muffins baked in mylar® cook film. Beside the innovative packaging concept, multivac also presented other new developments, among them the highend traysealer line as well as the patented hpp technology. Multivac exhibited its highend t700 traysealer in an integrated packaging line. In front of many visitors eyes the twin lane machine automatically matched its speed and travel movements to the desired output. It worked efficiently and reliably in all its processes.
The denesting of the trays was performed by a carsoe tray denester and the line was equipped with the h 130 handling module with 4axis robot for placing the finished tray packs into outer cartons. Multivac hpp multivacs hpp technology high pressure processing also aroused great interest as expected.
The packaging specialist from the allgäu has further developed high pressure processing in some crucial areas and for this it was awarded the international foodtec award 2012 at anuga. Dr. Tobias richter, who is responsible for hpp at multivac, and guido spix, ceo of multivac, took part in the award ceremony.
"for us the award is a sign that our activity in innovation is meeting the requirements of the sector", said spix. Multivac holds several patents in the area of high pressure processing. For example, the packaging specialists innovations enabled map packaged foods to be high pressure processed reliably for the first time. Multivac has set up a hpp test plant at its headquarters in wolfertschwenden for the high pressure processing of packaged food. Mylar® cook exclusively from multivac multivac also presented at anuga foodtec for the first time the innovative mylar® cook packaging concept, which was developed by dupont teijin films.
Mylar® cook films are thermoformable films, which were specially developed for the preparation of food in the high temperature range up to 218 degrees celsius. The particular product is cooked in the oven or in the microwave in its sealed pack. Due to this process, the aromas, vitamins, minerals and inherent moisture of the product are largely retained during the cooking process.
The material is available exclusively from multivac in europe, oceania and on the american continent. Multivac also supplies the corresponding packaging machines for it. Mylar® cook was originally developed for the packaging of food containing protein meat, fish etc. Since then the spectrum of applications has become much wider, as the anuga visitors can confirm who were fed with sandwiches and muffins.
