Brazil as smartphones are getting more and more popular in brazil, the local consumers are watching several companies starting to use qr codes to communicate their messages in a different and more interactive way. Movie theaters, shops and even newspapers are also helping to spread the qr code fever among brazilians.
One of the recent examples came from the local subsidiary of sherwin williams in brazil. They have has applied qr codes in two of the ink cans belonging to the premium metalatex line of products supera and clima&tempo.
At this early stage, the code will be used in all promotional material point of sale, such as banners and brochures. The idea is to present several useful informations for the customers, such as yield, available colors, tips and more.
