Genk (Belgium), AR Metallizing has been selected as one of ten Ruban d’Honneur recipients for the 2016/17 European Business Awards in the category Environmental & Corporate Sustainability.
The company will now undergo an in-depth, face-to-face interview. It will find out if it’s a winner in the category Environmental & Corporate Sustainability at the Gala Final in Dubrovnik on May 4.
AR Metallizing is one of only 110 finalists announced after over 33,000 businesses entered the competition. It was chosen by a panel of independent judges because it displayed the core values of innovation, sustainability, ethics and success.
For the Award for Environmental and Corporate Sustainability, AR Metallizing competes with 9 other companies from all over Europe.
AR Metallizing thanks its success in the European Business Awards’ competition to its recently invented packaging board SilberBoardTM, a great-looking yet fully sustainable alternative to conventional plastic packaging. SilberBoardTM enables premium brands to get rid of plastic packaging and offers a stunning, fully recyclable and compostable board.
Bart Devos, CEO of AR Metallizing said: “Valuing consumer, employee and eco-friendly issues are an important core corporate value. We are very proud of the European Business Awards’ recognition of AR Metallizing. We operate transparently and actively nurture these practices. Our success is a team accomplishment that involves every employee at AR Metallizing.”
Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards said: “To survive in this economic climate is hard enough, so to innovate, prosper and grow as this year’s Ruban D’Honneur recipients have done is truly remarkable. Europe needs more companies like these. Well done to them all.”
