Fluxsecure has a diameter of about 30 micrometers, which makes it thinner than a human hair. The delicate thread consists of a metal alloy mixture and is surrounded by a glass coating. The magnetic properties of the security feature are read out without line of sight, using a handheld reader or a sensor that generates a magnetic field.
