The Djazagro fair (Algiers, 18-21 April) will be showcasing the Group’s unrivalled technology, now improved with across-the-board innovations. The backdrop to the fair: the African market, ever-more at the centre of the Group’s strategic decision-making
North Africa’s leading market, Algeria sees Italy as a key trading partner, the third most important after France and China, ahead of Germany, Spain and the USA. the local food industry – the country’s second-largest, which on its own has 17,000 businesses and 120,000 employees – will be getting together from 18 to 21 April at the Djazagro fair, the international exhibition dedicated to food, beverage and packaging technologies; the event is expected to attract over 20,000 industry professionals, 75% of them from abroad.
After successful participation in the last two editions of the event, Sacmi is heading back to Algiers with a 40 m2 stand (stand no. 1M022/26) to showcase its comprehensive range of technology for the beverage & packaging industry. This will include all the latest from the last 12 months, which saw – among other things – development and diffusion of the new IPS 400 platform for PET preform manufacturing and, alongside it, key innovations on the tried and tested CCM compression press range for the manufacture of ever-lighter, higher-performing caps.
In addition to a leadership capacity that spans several industries and technologies– such as compression and injection – Sacmi provides a high-end range of solutions to handle every stage of container production, filling and labelling. Indeed, the labellers – the first machines to be presented at Djazagro back in 2014 – now represent a proven solution that is ever-more appreciated by local producers owing to unrivalled modularity, flexibility and efficiency.
Alongside complete filling lines – fully automated and ultra-clean – for bag-in-box packages, Sacmi provides vision and quality control systems for preforms and all stages of primary packaging production: these operate at ultra-high output rates and are designed to ensure “total quality control” of every stage of production.
All-round partner and plant engineering provider to the beverage & packaging industry, Sacmi has, in recent years, invested heavily in development prospects on the African continent. The Group currently has three African branches fully dedicated to the beverage sector, including Sacmi North Africa, based in Casablanca, Morocco: a choice in keeping with the Group’s policy of working as close as possible to customers on all markets with high growth and development potential, such as Algeria and North Africa in general.
