Sihl launches Artysio packaging film

The new film is suitable for twist and fold wrapping when small to medium runs are individualized, in high quality, and with fast delivery times. The film can be printed on-site before packaging and processed directly in-line, saving resources and enabling new distribution concepts.

The Artysio Twist film provides reliable protection from light, air and dirt for sweets, chocolates, and other confectionery. The white film can be printed individually using AQ inkjet to offer a great look and presentation. The film is made from renewable raw materials and is industrially compostable.

The new package allows dairy and juice drinks to be produced and distributed in small carton pouches at room temperature, and subsequently turned into frozen products in shops or in a consumer’s home. The package was recognised for its quality in design, materials and class. Over 319 packaging applications from 35 countries entered the award competition.

Wiping unsustainable worries away: Mondi sets its sights on fully biodegradable nonwovens for wipes with new CAC line

The material produced improves quality with high absorption and lotion-load Mondi, global leader in packaging and paper, has developed a new Carded Airlaid Carded (CAC) line to create a more sustainable three-layer nonwoven for wipes. These can be used for personal hygiene and cleaning purposes. This new line will use 100% cellulose content, including viscose and pulp from certified sources, resulting in a nonwoven material that is fully biodegradable.
