Antalis has increased its range of equipment for e-Commerce with the addition of the new FillPak Trident Mini from Ranpak.

The Trident Mini tackles head-on the perennial challenge of warehouse and packing space experienced by many e-Commerce businesses. Lifebuoy launches its first-ever children's book by Mr Ruskin Bond

Lifebuoy's H for Handwashing campaign is a means to encourage hand hygiene behaviour change by integration in the school curriculum. The premise is that in the early years of cognitive development, children are taught that the letter H stands for Handwashing and not just Hat, Horse & Hippo.

To celebrate Global Handwashing Day (GHD) this year, Lifebuoy launched their first-ever children's book - H for Handwashing Alphabet Book. This book, written by Mr Ruskin Bond, seamlessly integrates hand hygiene concepts in the English Alphabet.

‘Smart Fill’ empowers consumers to reduce plastic waste

At Hindustan Unilever, we recently launched ‘Smart Fill’ machine – an in-store vending model for our Home Care products with the aim to reuse, reduce and recycle plastic. In the pilot phase, the vending machine has been installed at Reliance Smart Acme Mall in Mumbai. This industry-defining initiative offers consumers an innovative option to reuse plastic bottles by refilling our home care products like Surf excel, Comfort and Vim through this ‘Smart Fill’ machine.

Mondi hosts first-of-its-kind round table to tackle used paper bags from construction

Cadbury moves to 50 per cent recycled plastic wrappers

In 2022, Cadbury announced it had sourced 30 per cent (on a mass balance basis) of the plastic needed to wrap its 160-gram to 185-gram Cadbury Dairy Milk family blocks produced in Australia from recycled materials.

Cadbury now aims to use 50 per cent recycled plastic for its wrappers across its chocolate blocks, bars and pieces range produced in Australia. This will be equivalent to halving its virgin plastic needs to wrap those products.

Suzuki Switches to “Green” Packaging Material

Suzuki Motor Corporation has adopted Green Planet, a biodegradable polymer developed by Kaneka Corporation, to replace polystyrene foam in the final packaging of its outboards. Kaneka says Green Planet can decompose in seawater and is 100% biomass-derived.

To maintain the same cushioning performance as conventional polystyrene, Suzuki developed a two-level structure of cardboard shapes to supplement the Green Planet.

Colpac utilises QR codes to provide on-pack recycling and materials data

Food packaging specialist Colpac is providing consumers information on disposing the food packaging and of recycling, composting, and material sources.

Quick Response (QR) codes and specific recycling instructions are printed on Colpac packaging.

The information is available for national recycling schemes in the UK, France, and Italy to date. Guidance is displayed in local languages to inform end users of how to best dispose of packaging.
